2021 Ares Design Land Rover Defender Spec 1.2
Designed by the company’s Style Center, the exterior design is defined by the carbon fiber bonnet and widened fenders and has been stripped of all originally visible body bolts. The LED headlights are housed in a new one-piece carbon fiber front, while the rear features new ring-shaped LED headlights.
The body style is complemented by the new larger and darkened rear windows, the two-part panoramic roof and the 18 “wheels designed by ARES, which give the car a modern and impressive appearance.
Inside, ARES Design’s designers and craftsmen have combined their talents to create a stunning bespoke interior. Expertly finished, the refined leather and carbon fiber upholstery extends to every part of the driving environment, from the instrument panel to the rear seat benches, offering an enveloping feeling of luxury and quality. Finally, the new infotainment system, the revised and enhanced air conditioning system and the four electrically operated windows ensure uncompromising comfort for the occupants.
Once behind the wheel, the driver will start his journey with a simple touch of the start & stop button, and thanks to the new and modern light switch levers to control the lights and wipers the driving experience will be simple and fun. For colder climates, the new Defender Spec. 1.2 features adjustable heated side mirrors with built-in turn signal, ensuring a quick start on colder days.
However, the renovation work carried out by ARES went far beyond the bodywork with the new design. The coachbuilder has in fact replaced the original 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with a mighty 4750cc V8 engine capable of delivering 280 hp and 440 Nm of torque, supported by a new 6-speed automatic transmission.

Additional reinforcements to the transmission, drive shafts and CV joints support the increased performance and power delivery, while the braking system is equipped with more performing discs and 6-piston calipers. To ensure maximum driving fluidity and perfect adaptability to all surfaces, the ARES for Land Rover Defender Spec. 1.2 is equipped with electronically adjustable suspension, which allows you to choose between a softer configuration for off-road driving and a more rigid for road routes.
