2025 Pininfarina Battista Novantacinque

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • One-off model celebrating Pininfarina’s 95th anniversary

  • Battista Novantacinque features bespoke elements like Glorioso gloss paint and Italian flag motifs

  • U.S.-exclusive build with performance figures untouched

A Tribute Wrapped in Carbon and Heritage

Automobili Pininfarina isn’t the type of company to throw a party for itself. But when it does, it’s likely to involve something like the 2025 Automobili Pininfarina Battista Novantacinque—a one-off version of its all-electric hyper GT that leans heavily on history, elegance, and a sense of national pride.

This isn’t a redesign. It’s a recoloring, a retexturing. And it works. The Battista Novantacinque is bathed in Blu Savoia Gloss—deep, clean, and almost aristocratic—while the exposed carbon fiber roof gets a Goccia treatment that breaks up the upper half without being loud. There’s no overthinking here. Just clear, deliberate choices.

The Italian tricolore, as you'd expect, makes an appearance. It's integrated into the anodized aluminum detailing on the side mirror arms and the bespoke interior badging. Not overwhelming, not ornamental—just there, almost like a signature on a painting.

Detail-Oriented but Performance-Consistent

Underneath the anniversary attire, it’s still the Battista. That means four motors, one per wheel, putting down 1,900 hp and over 2,300 Nm of torque. But those numbers are background noise at this point. What matters more here is what’s visible. The Glorioso wheels—21-inch up front, 20-inch in the rear—add contrast and muscle, sitting inside subtle bodywork that doesn’t try to reinvent anything.

Inside, the personalization continues with Tan Sustainable Luxury Leather. The quilting, perforations, and even the contrast stitching all follow a layout unique to this car. It's precise, not precious. There’s a warmth to it that feels oddly at home in something this fast.

Exclusive in the Right Places

Only one of these will exist, and it’s headed exclusively to the U.S. market. It’s a clever move, considering Pininfarina’s ongoing efforts to plant its flag in North America—not just with customers, but with collectors. This isn’t a hypercar chasing Nürburgring times. It’s chasing legacy.

And as far as rivals go? Think of Rimac Nevera, yes, but also think more broadly. This isn’t really a competitor’s game. The Battista Novantacinque lives in that thin space where electric performance meets cultural weight. It’s a rolling tribute, not a numbers war.

The 2025 Automobili Pininfarina Battista Novantacinque isn’t here to shock the spec sheet. It’s here to remind you that this company’s roots go back nearly a century—and they’re not just alive, they’re electric.
